Here is a humorous take on the language of waiters. Of course, this is a joke and not meant to be taken seriously :)

As a waiter, you learn quickly that honesty is not always the best policy when answering customers' questions. If someone asks how the sea bass special is, you can't exactly say, "Well, it's been sitting in the fridge for a week and nobody wants it, so I wouldn't recommend it."

No, no, no! Instead, you have to use your secret waiter language to make the dish sound amazing, like, "Oh, the sea bass is one of our most popular specials! People just love the subtle hints of refrigeration and week-old fish taste." 

See? It's all about using the right words.
